Simon Opher is elected MP for Stroud
Local GP and Labour candidate Simon Opher wins the Stroud seat in the 2024 general election, beating incumbent Conservative MP Siobhan Baillie by 11,388 votes. The turnout is over 70%, one of the highest in the UK.
