Public consultation receives 1,600 replies
Stroud District Council totals over 1,600 responses to the public consultation on monuments, street, and building names. Chair of the Review Panel, councillor Natalie Bennett, thanks all respondents and reiterates that the panel of councillors, historians and community representatives will now review all responses before summarising their recommendations to the council later in 2021.
This total figure is reported in the Stroud News & Journal as well as in a Twitter (X) post by the campaign group Save Our Statues.
