In an Instagram post, Dan Guthrie reiterates Stroud District Council’s next steps, having received 1,681 responses to its public consultation. He writes, ‘Slowness is exhausting,’ recognising the delay between his first correspondence with the council in June 2020, and the unlikelihood of any action being taken before 2022.

Guthrie continues, ‘Over the last few weeks quite a few people have asked me whether this whole process has changed how I view Stroud. Quite honestly, I think the backlash to the whole situation was inevitable … but all of this coming out of the woodwork has definitely changed how I view the place I call home.’
