Dan Guthrie new commission Empty Alcove / Rotting Figure opens at Spike Island, Bristol. The exhibition presents two newly commissioned videos that put forward the ‘radical un-conservation’ of the Black Boy Clock – a new theoretical concept proposed by Guthrie to describe the acquisition of an object with the express intent to destroy it. The exhibition will open on the 8th of February and will run until the 11th of May 2025.
