‘The Impact of Transatlantic Slavery on England’s Built Environment: a Research Audit’

Historians Mary Wills and Madge Dresser are commissioned by Historic England to compile research into the ‘tangible presence of England's slavery past’. The remit of their report includes buildings, houses, streets, industrial heritage, urban fabrics, and rural landscapes, and ‘brings together the work of historians, heritage organisations, local and community researchers, and BAME research networks’. The Anti-Slavery Arch is mentioned within their report in a section titled ‘Abolitionism and the Built Environment’, but no reference is made to the Blackboy Clock.
